FAQ's

What do you mean by "Remanufactured"?
Remanufactured tractors are not new tractors, in fact they are used tractors, usually 10 to 20 years old, which have been rebuilt to preset and exact specifications.

The refurbishment typically involves:
  • New or near new tyres
  • New seats fitted
  • A new battery installed
  • Radiators are cleaned (or replaced if necessary)
  • New ROPS (Roll Over Protection System)
  • Tractors are  repainted to original color & new decals fitted
  • New air filter, new fuel filters, and new oil filters
  • The hydraulic filter is new or if metal, it has been cleaned
  • The transmission is in good working condition
  • The front axle of four-wheel drive tractors has been cleaned and, if necessary, repaired
  • Electrical system is working and the charging system is putting out the required voltage to charge the battery
  • The belts and hoses are checked, tested and repaired (or replaced if necessary)
  • Brakes checked, tested and repaired (or replaced if necessary)
  • Clutch checked, tested and repaired (or replaced if necessary)
  • Gearboxes checked, tested and cleaned & filled with new oil
  • Motors are pulled down, checked and fitted with new parts as required,
  • Most Tractors are fitted with a new "Bulldog" 4in1 front end loader.
  •

There is a high level of detail that is delivered during the remanufacturing process, which provides the end user with far greater confidence than if you were to purchase a used or reworked product as you can be assured that the tractor has met strict remanufacturing guidelines.

Do you have a list of what was repaired on each tractor?

No, we do not receive a list of the exact items repaired on each tractor. However, each tractor is rebuilt as described in the Remanufacturing process.

Who can work on my tractor?
It has been our experience that almost any diesel mechanic can work on these tractors. It is, of course, best to find someone who is familiar with tractors. Many small engine repair shops and local diesel mechanics will be happy to help you with any maintenance or repair work you might have need of. If you are in Queensland, we know mechanics who will work on our tractors at a reasonable rate.

What kind of Inventory do you have?

We typically have more tractors available than what we have on the list. And if we don't have it now, we might still be able to get it for you within a reasonable period of time (typically within a week or two). We usually have 6 to 10 tractors available on our lot for local customer sales. Click here for our latest inventory.

What kind of maintenance is required for my remanufactured tractor?
Australian Tractor Brokers provides each of its customers with a Basic Tractor Use and Operations Guide.

Here are some of the maintenance recommendations from that guide:

  • Change the engine oil and oil filter every 75 to 100 Hours.
  • Change the hydraulic transmission oil (and filter if your tractor has one) about every 250 to 400 hours depending on usage. If your tractor only has one reservoir (Yanmars for example), you must use heavier weight Hydraulic/Transmission oil rather than regular tractor (hydraulic) fluid. Note that some tractors have a metal screen rather than a hydraulic filter.
  • Clean your air filter every 10 to 50 hours depending on how dusty your environment is. It is also recommended that you replace your filter with a new one either yearly or after the 5th cleaning.
  • You should replace your fuel filter about every 100 hours or sooner if it appears dirty.
